On February 23, 1930, in honor of the 12th
anniversary of the Red Army, a general
meeting of peasants from neighboring vil-
lages decided to establish an agricultural
artel, naming it after Mikhail Vasilyevich
Frunze, their outstanding fellow-villag-
er, one of the organizers of the Red Army.
Located on the territory of the farm are a
library, a community center, a kindergarten,
and a school, all financially supported by
the enterprise.

The enterprise specializes in the produc-
tion of meat and dairy products. Also, it is
engaged in the breeding and sale of Yaro-
slavl cows and the growth of cereal and
fodder crops.
Regularly cooperating with various re-
search establishments, the enterprise car-
ries on selection on the livestock, using
the SELEKS automated registration soft-
ware. The enterprise fully supplies itself
with fodders, purchasing extra mineral nu-
trients.
Currently underway is rebuilding of a loose
housing facility. This will have a milking
department fitted with a 2*12 Yolochka
section for 500 head of cattle. Tractor and
farm equipment stock is being updated.
