SPK Iskra was established on June 26, 1950
by merging five smaller collective farms:
Novy Put collective farm in Sosnovets, Vo-
roshilov collective farm in Parakhino, 7 Let
Bez Lenina collective farm in Khmelniki, Ot-
vet Interventam in Dolgovsky, and Krasnaya
Zarya collective farm in Surovtsevsoye.
During 1950-1957 the collective farm bore
the title N. S. Khrushchev Agricultural Artel.
For over 3 years the enterprise has been
holding the status of a pedigree breeder in
production of Yaroslavl breed heifers.
The enterprise in engaged in the production
and marketing of milk, cattle meat, and the
growth of cereals and fodder crops. Since
2017 SPK Iskra has been selling pedigree
Yaroslavl heifers.
The enterprise regularly carries out selec-
tion for improving the genetic potential of
animals, which increases their milk yield and
fertility.
The enterprise closely cooperates in pedi-
gree stock breeding with AO Ivanovskoye,
OAO Yaroslavskoye. Company pools efforts
in selection work with L. K. Ernst All-Russian
Institute of Stockbreeding, Moscow region.
The enterprise employs an automatic zoo-
cultural registration of animals with the
help of the SELEKS software. It has a good
fodder supply base. Additionally, it purchases
energy-strong fodders and mineral nutrients.
Currently under construction is a sheltered
platform for raising heifers. SPK Iskra sup-
plies its products to Ivanovo and Kostroma
regions.
