OOO Grainrus Agro

Grainrus group of companies is an agro-industrial
holding specializing in agricultural production, pro-
duction and sale of raw materials for brewing and
distillation, grain trading, logistic support and pro-
duction of raw materials for bakeries, confectionaries
and hop growing.
The company does business in all the federal dis-
tricts of Russia. The company’s personnel has dou-
bled over the last 3 years, reaching 1,500 employees.
Since 2010, the company has exported wheat, barley,
maize, flax, mustard, chickpea, and malt to 35 coun-
tries across the world on 5 continents.
As the business progressed, in 1999 the Group of
companies acquired the “Volga Grain Terminal” in
the town of Kineshma (Ivanovo region) for importing
large shipments of grain and malt by the river-to-sea
vessels. The company’s own grain terminal enables it
to remain for 20 years the leader in imports of raw
materials for brewing and distillation.
The Agro project on the territory of the Ivanovo re-
gion was launched in 2021.
“Grainrus Agro” became the leader in introduction of
land into crop rotation in the Ivanovo and Yaroslavl
regions.
The company actively ameliorates soils in the north-
ern areas of the Central Federal District where some
crops have not been grown previously. In the Ivanovo
region, for the first time in the area, record crops of
winter rape were gathered, on average 3.5 t/ha with
a maximum of 4.5 t/ha in the standard weight.
Also, food peas have been grown, which is quite an
achievement for the region. The launching of the
“Grainrus Agro” agricultural project in the Ivanovo re-
gion and the commissioning of the grain drying facil-
ity with an output of 170 t/hour enabled the region
to become a grain exporter in 2023.
