Shuyskaya Strochevyshivalnaya Fab-
rika is an arts and crafts enterprise
founded in 1934.

Its product range includes more than
two hundred items. These are women’s
dresses, blouses, jackets, skirts, trou-
sers, vests, sundresses, men’s shirts,
and also home textiles — tablecloths,
napkins, rugs, and towels. All products
of the company are decorated with ele-
gant embroidery made with great skill.
Mainly natural linen fabrics are em-
ployed for products manufacture. Items
are produced in small batches.

The factory takes part in various trade
fairs and contests, and has won a num-
ber of awards of such competitions as
“Linen Goods of Russia” (Vologda), “Ply-
os on the Volga River. Linen Palette”
(Ivanovo region), etc., for the appropri-
ate use of traditional folk costume in
modern clothes.
