OAO ZARYA is the successor of the collec-
tive farm «Krasnoye Znamya» established
in 1951. For more than 10 years, the enter-
prise has been a breeding reproducer for
Yaroslavl cattle breed.
The company is engaged in the production
and sale of milk, cattle meat, cultivation of
grain and forage crops. Since 2008, OAO
Zarya sells the Yaroslavl breeding cattle.
Permanent selection and breeding work
with the herd is carried out, that improves
the genetic potential, which further affects
milk production and animal productivity.
The company closely cooperates with Iva-
novo Belyaev Agricultural Academy.
Automated zootechnical accounting of
livestock with the help of SELEX program
allows determining the breeding value of
each animal.
